G. L. PARKER

Guyver Lee Parker, 90, of 36015 Burdette Road, died May 15, 1996, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Isle of Wight County and was the son of the late William Edward and Martha Anna Howell Parker. Mr. Parker was a retired farmer. He was a member of Burdette Baptist Church, Burdette Black Creek Ruritan Club and the Black Creek Hunt Club.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Johnson Parker; two daughters, Virginia P. Gray of Franklin and Barbara P. Carr of Ivor; a son, Lewis Earl Parker of Sedley; a sister, Gladys P. Gardner of Suffolk; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Southampton Memorial Park with Rev. Larry Cribb, Rev. Wayne Underwood and Rev. Joseph Talley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
