GEORGE W. BELL SR.

George White Bell Sr., 80, of the 200 block of S. Newtown Road, died May 14, 1996.

Mr. Bell was a native of Smithfield, Va., and the widower of Dorothy Bell. He was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach. Mr. Bell was a member and Past Master of the Norview Masonic Lodge 113 AF & AM; a member of the Shrine and The Scottish Rites Bodies Of Norfolk.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane M. Caffee and her husband, David of Virginia Beach; a son, George W. Bell Jr., and his wife, Mamie of Norfolk; four grandchildren, Kimberly and her husband, Robert Meister of Virginia Beach, Kenneth D. Caffee Jr., of Ft. Meyers, Fla., Joyce and her husband, Steve Lindsey of Norfolk, Elizabeth Bell of Davidson, N.C.; and one great-grandson, Kevin Lindsey.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, at Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Tommy Reynolds. The family will receive friends Friday in the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer, American Heart Association, or The Alzheimers Foundation.
