During the exciting and very ``show-biz'' performance of the Virginia Symphony on April 27 at Chrysler Hall, it occurred to me that about 90 percent of the symphony players are twenty- to fortysomething.
The guest conductor and guest violinist were very young, too, as were two of the three composers represented at the program, but young adults for the most part were absent from the audience. What a shame to miss such a magical experience created by one's peers.
