Dr. Pierre Paul Tulou, 84, of the 400 block of W. Bute St., died Thursday, May 16, 1996, in a local hospital.
Dr. Tulou was a native of France, where he was a pulmonary physician. He later moved to the United States and resumed his practice. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, the Norfolk Rotary Club, and he had volunteered his time at the Seaman's House.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Dr. Dorothy Tulou-Leake; three daughters, Dr. Marie T. Holland of Norfolk, Elizabeth T. Sheik of Wittier, N.C., and Antonia T. Murray of Provo, Utah; three sons, Michael A. Tulou of McLean, Va., Dr. Nicolas P. Tulou of Richmond, Va., and Christophe G.A. Tulou of Dover, Del.; a brother, Jean Tulou of Paris, France; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd by the Rev. Father Ross Wright. Memorial contributions may be made to the Norfolk Rotary Charities, 414 W. Bute St., Norfolk, 23510. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
