NELLIE L. DALBY

Nellie Luckam Dalby, 85, of the 1500 block of Morris Ave., died May 17, 1996, in her residence.

She was a former employee of C & P Telephone Company and she was also a retired PBX operator of Hague Towers. She was a native of Reidville, Va., and the widow of Robert Elwood Dalby. Mrs. Dalby was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Norfolk. She was also a member of the Norfolk Women's Club and the Tidewater Senior Citizens Club.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy D. Kline of Norfolk; a son, Robert E. Dalby Jr. of Norfolk; a sister, Lillian L. Chappell of Portsmouth; five grandchildren, Aliceyn Applewhite, William Kline Jr., Robert Kline, Kimberly Miller, and Robert E. Dalby III; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Robert A. Edwards in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church.
