Cleophus L. ``Cle'' Johnson, of the 1800 block of Land of Promise Road, died May 16, 1996, in a local hospital.
He was a native of Norfolk County and a member of Gabriel Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Chesapeake.
He is survived by two sisters, Flora Lewis and Hester Reid, both of Chesapeake; two nephews, Stanley Green of Virginia Beach, Christopher Green of Portsmouth; two nieces, Marilyn Hinton of Richmond and Beverly Hill of Portsmouth; great-aunt, Geneva Wilson of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday by the Rev. Cary Johnson Jr. in Gabriel Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 1833 Land of Promise Road, Chesapeake, on Monday at 11 a.m. for the funeral procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is in charge.
