Martha Lee Wright Brown, 74, of Cedar Road, died May 16, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
She was a native of Norfolk and the widow of James W. Brown Jr. Mrs. Brown attended Grassfield Baptist Church and was a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association and the Tidewater Rabbit Breeders Association.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy B. Martin Williams of Portsmouth; and a brother, Charles Thomas Wright of Las Vegas; three grandchildren, Dennis Martin, Shirley Stinson, and Martha Jordan; and a great-grandchild, Joseph Scott Jordan. She was predeceased by a sister, Pearl Edwards.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Richard Mallory. Burial is in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at 97 Aylwin Road, Portsmouth.
