KENNY G., OTHERS JOIN LINEUP

Smooth-jazz saxman Kenny G, Linda Ronstadt, Hank Williams Jr. and a blues bill featuring Chicago fireball Buddy Guy are among the shows that have been added to the Virginia Beach Amphitheater's inaugural schedule.

``An Evening With Kenny G'' is set for 8 p.m. July 28. Tickets are $34.75 (Gold Circle), $24.75 (reserved) and $14.75 (festival lawn). They go on sale June 7 at 10 a.m.

Ronstadt will be accompanied by the Pittsburgh Symphony when she performs Aug. 1 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $44.75, $29.75 and $15. The sale date will be announced.

Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd and former-Top 40 mainstays the Doobie Brothers share an Aug. 2 bill. Showtime is 7 p.m. Tickets are $32.75, $22.75 and $14.75. No sale date yet.

The following night, the Steve Miller Band and Pat Benatar will be at the amphitheater. The show begins at 7:30. Tickets are $29.75, $22.75 and $14.75, and go on sale June 8 at 10 a.m.

Williams headlines an Aug. 23 triple bill with .38 Special and the Marshall Tucker Band. It starts at 6:30; ticket prices and sale date are forthcoming.

The H.O.R.D.E. Festival, featuring Blues Traveler, Lenny Kravitz, Rusted Root and 311, rolls into town Aug. 30 at 4 p.m. Ticket prices and sale dates will be announced.

Guy, Joe Cocker and the Fabulous Thunderbirds make up the House of Blues bill Sept. 4. Tickets are $29.75, $19.75 and $12.75. Showtime and sale date will be announced.

Ticket prices do not include parking and service charges. The Kenny G, Ronstadt and House of Blues shows are Family Specials, with children 12 and under receiving a free festival lawn ticket when accompanied by an adult holding a paid lawn ticket. by CNB
