Georgia Otelia Daniels Ferebee of the 2600 block of Myrtle Ave. died May 19, 1996, in her residence.
She was a retired supply clerk for the Norfolk Naval Supply Center, where she had worked for 27 years. She was a native of Emporia, Va., and the daughter of George W. and Marie Harrison Daniels. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was a devoted member and had served on the Usher Board (NU)2. She was also a member of the Broad Creek Civic League.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Melvin J. Ferebee of the home; a daughter, Jacqueline O. Ferebee of Chesapeake; a son, Melvin J. Ferebee of Hampton; a brother, Edward T. Daniels of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Melvin James III, Michael and Taylor; daughter-in-law, Michelle T. Ferebee; and godchildren, Marsha W. Turner and Kristal W. Jenkins.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday by the Rev. James Edwards in First Baptist Church, Bute Street, Norfolk. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be a viewing Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in church at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The family will be at the residence.
