Evelyn M. Nottingham, 75, of Wayne Circle, died May 19, 1996, in Hillhaven Nursing Home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Willis Wharf on the Eastern Shore and was a member of Norview Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, George E. Nottingham; a daughter, Phyllis Moor, and her husband, Eugene, of Chesapeake; a son, George E. Nottingham III, and his wife, Vel, of Garland, Texas; two grandchildren, Brenton and Brooke; a sister, Bernice Outten, and her husband, Edwin, of the Eastern Shore; and a brother, Preston Smith, and his wife, Phyllis, of the Eastern Shore.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by Dr. Vernon Murray in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
