VIRGINIA W. HAIRSTON

Virginia Walton Hairston departed this life on April 3, 1996, to enter into eternal rest, after a lengthy illness.

Virginia was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Norfolk to the late James Walton and Lottie Campbell Long.

Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Mrs. Janice Spencer of Herndon, Va., Mrs. Judy Vann of Tappahannock, Va., and Mrs. Olivia Browne of Roosevelt, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Headen of Robbins, N.C., and Miss Clara Long of Los Angeles; three brothers, Waverly Long of Norfolk, Sterling Long of Westminister, Calif., and Vernell Long of Los Angeles; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Virginia was laid to rest on April 6, 1996, in Martinsville, Va., in the family cemetery.
