Alice Wiggins Zehmer, 71, of the 1500 block of Quail Pt. Road, died May 20, 1996, in a local hospital.
The widow of Litt H. Zehmer, she was born in Gates County, N.C., daughter of the late Mary White Wiggins and John E. Wiggins Sr. She was a member of Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Z. Cusson of Raleigh, N.C.; a son, C. Randolph Zehmer of Virginia Beach; a sister, Margaret Scurlock and her husband, Robert of Norfolk; a brother, David Wiggins and his wife, June of Sunbury, N.C.; three grandchildren, Angela H. Reed, Jared R. Zehmer and Robert R. Cusson; and a great-grandchild Darby E. Reed.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 1996 at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Gary Rowe. Memorial donations may be made to the Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church building fund, 2020 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, Va., 23454 or to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, Station 14, P.O. Box 945, Virginia Beach, Va. 23451. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
