BARRY ALAN STEVENS

Barry Alan Stevens died Saturday, May 18, 1996, in Orange Park.

Barry was in the process of relocating to the Jacksonville, Fla., area. Barry has been a resident of Norfolk for the past 26 years, he remained in Norfolk following an honorary discharge from the U.S. Navy. Barry was employed by the government as a metal smith in the sheet metal shop, working on aircraft installations.

He leaves behind a brother, Stanley G. Stevens of Hampton, N.H.; a sister-in-law, Barbara Rumpf Stevens, also of Hampton; sister, Wendy E. Myler of Amherst, N.H.; two nephews, Brad W. Stevens of Hampton, currently with the U.S. Navy SEALs in Coronado, Calif., and Ben Myler of Amherst, N.H., currently a student at the University of Oregon.

A small family service will be held in Dunedin, Fla., where he will be interned with his recently deceased parents, Florence Dufresne Stevens and George H. Stevens of Swampscott, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barry's memory to the Save the Children Fund or the Make a Wish Foundation. Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, Jacksonville, Fla., is in charge.
