Franklin Nathanael Goffigon, 75, of the 300 block of Pennington Blvd., died May 20, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Goffigon, a native of Cape Charles, Va., retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a sheetmetal mechanic. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Reba H. Goffigon; a daughter, Rejena G. Carreras of Richmond, Va.; three sisters, Ann Brewbaker of Norfolk, Marguerite Jennings of Ft. Myers, Fla., Esther Maxey of Hopewell, Va.; two brothers, Harold Goffigon of Cheriton, Va., Eugene Goffigon of Virginia Beach; a grandson, Brett Carreras.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. Philip J. Parker at Greenlawn Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Memorial Fund. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
