Randolph Guynette Smith, 75, of the 2000 block of Darden Terrace, died May 21, 1996, in a Portsmouth nursing home.
Mr. Smith, a native of Jackson, N.C., retired from Norshipco as an electical shop supervisor.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie R. Smith; a daughter, Elizabeth Maie Whitlock of Simpsonville, S.C.; two sons, Randolph G. Smith Jr. of Chesapeake, Bradford Franklin Smith of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Frank G. Smith, Melissa Maie Whitlock and Laura Elizabeth Whitlock.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. W. Thomas Wood at Loving Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, N.C. There will be a visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
