UNION-MADE SPAN

Hampton Roads residents should be aware that not only did union workers build the first Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel but also the recently completed Coleman Bridge at Gloucester.

Union skill and labor resulted in superior-quality work completed ahead of schedule.

Residents should consider this as they travel the extensive network of tunnels and bridges in our region.

Tidewater Construction now refuses to sign a new contract with local union officials. Let's see if the new span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel will be completed ahead of time or even on time.
