Ralph J. Cerino Jr., 51, of 4417 Old Pewter Circle, died May 22, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
He was a mortgage banker for more than 20 years and an officer of CitizensBanc Mortgage Co. He was a native of Glastonbury, Conn., and a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. He was a member of Tidewater Mortgage Banker's Association and was a captain and commanding officer in his division in Germany until 1969. He continues to hold the firing record in the 3D Armored Division. He was an affiliate member of Tidewater Builder's Association and Tidewater Association of Realtors. Mr. Cerino was a graduate of Old Dominion University where he was a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity. He was a loving husband, father, and friend to many people.
He is survived by his wife, M. Susan Cerino; daughter, Megan Elizabeth Cerino of Virginia Beach; a son, Ashley Blake Cerino of Virginia Beach; and his parents, Ralph J. Cerino Sr. and Ann D. Cerino, both of Virginia Beach.
A Memorial Mass will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday by Father Philip Ghys O.S.B. in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad.
