Thomas John Buczek, 79, of the 300 block of El Paso Ave., died in DePaul Medical Center Monday, May 20, 1996.
He was the son of the late Stanley and Dora Liarnd Buczek. Mr. Buczek was born Sept. 6, 1916, in Franklin, Pa., and was a retired veteran of the U.S. Marines after 30 years of service. He was also a member of the Fleet Reserve Association, VFW (NU)3160, Moose Lodge (NU)39, IOOB, and former member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
He is survived by a loving friend and companion, Dorothy Calvert Calland; three sisters, Elizabeth Kite of Wheeling, W.Va., Virginia Slutz of Bridgeport, Ohio, Mary Jean Steger of Vancouver, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Chapel in the Woods (Naval Base) today at 4 p.m. by Dr. Adair. Burial will be in the Quantico National Cemetery with full military honors accorded at the gravesite at 2 p.m. Friday. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
