Mr. Alva F. Bonney, 72, of the 1800 block of Brookwood Road, died May 22, 1996, in a local hospital.
He was an armored car driver for Federal Armored Express and a native of Princess Anne County, Virginia Beach. He was a member of the American Legion.
Mr. Bonney is survived by his wife, Shirley F. Bonney of Norfolk; daughter, Trudy Smith of Maryland; son, Hartsell Teagle of California; brother, William K. Bonney of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial is in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
