Jason L. Wise, 16, of the 3200 block of Benefit Road, died May 21, 1996 in Norfolk General Hospital.
He was born in Portsmouth and was a student at Deep Creek High School, where he played on the baseball and wrestling teams. He was a member of Doric chapter of the Demolay and was past master counselor.
He is survived by his parents, Joseph Martin Wise and Lou Ann Zimmerman Wise of Chesapeake; a sister, Robin Lynn Wise of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Joseph M. Wise Jr. and James M. Wise, both of Chesapeake; maternal grandparents, Anna Mae Zimmerman of Honey Brook, Pa., and Lloyd M. Zimmerman of New Holland Pa.; paternal grandmother, Bertha J. Smith of Jacksonville, Fla.; a nephew, Justin C. Wise of Virginia Beach; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and best friend, Tony Moore.
A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Deep Creek United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel today from 7 to 9 p.m.
