Barbara Ann Spivey, 62, died in her home Wednesday, May 22, 1996. A native of Richmond, Va., she lived in Virginia Beach for over 40 years.
Mrs. Spivey was a member of Aragona Moose Lodge where she had served as senior regent of the Women of the Moose. She was the devoted wife of Charles L. Spivey Sr. and beloved mother of Lora L. Shelley of Monroe, Va., Charles L. Spivey Jr. and Linda D. Dixon, both of Virginia Beach.
Besides her husband and three children, Barbara Spivey is survived by seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; they are, William W. Shelley III, Lisa M. Shelley, Angelique T. Shelley, Tiffany A. Dixon, Sean G. Dixon, Geoffrey C. Spivey, Patrick A. Spivey, Joseph W. Shelley and Erica C. Shelley.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rosewood Memorial Park, Sermon on the Mount section. The family requests the presence of all family and friends. At Barbara's request, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society or The Salvation Army. Kellum Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, is handling arrangements.
