A 44-year-old Manteo man has been arrested and charged with second-degree rape, the Dare County sheriff's office said in a release Thursday.
William Percy ``Tadpole'' Daniels was being held on a $40,000 secured bond and a $10,000 unsecured bond in the Dare County Detention Center.
The incident occurred at the victim's Manteo home at around noon Wednesday, the release said.
The victim suffered minor neck injuries, and was taken to Outer Banks Medical Center, where she was treated and released.
