Alice Wiggins Zehmer, 71, of the 1500 block of Quail Point Road, died May 20, 1996, in a local hospital.
The widow of Litt H. Zehmer, she was born in Gates County, N.C., daughter of the late Mary White Wiggins and John E. Wiggins Sr. She was a member of Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Z. Cusson of Raleigh, N.C.; a son, C. Randolph Zehmer of Virginia Beach; a sister, Margaret Scurlock and her husband, Robert, of Norfolk; a brother, David Wiggins and his wife, June, of Sunbury, N.C.; three grandchildren, Angela H. Reed, Jared R. Zehmer and Robert R. Cusson; and a great-grandchild, Darby E. Reed.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 1996, at Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Gary Rowe. Memorial donations may be made to the Eastern Shore Chapel Episcopal Church building fund, 2020 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23454, or to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, Station 14, P.O. Box 945, Virginia Beach, Va. 23451. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
