WILLIAM L. WEBSTER

William Lee Webster, 80, of the 1200 block of Davis Ave., passed on the birthday of his mother, May 23, 1996, in his residence.

He was a retired foreman for Lone Star Industries and a native of Washington County, Va. Mr. Webster was a Methodist and a member of Willis V. Fentress Masonic Lodge (NU)296 AF & AM in Virginia Beach and Portlock Senior Citizens Center.

He is survived by his wife, Florence S. Webster; three daughters, Carol Webster Bishop of Chesapeake, Gale Webster Lofton and her husband, Brett of Chesapeake, and Peggy Helvey of Springfield, Ohio; son, Grayson W. Helvey of San Jose, Calif.; sister, Lois Maiden of Abingdon, Va.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Alonzo and Sue Lyle Webster of Abingdon.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m Masonic rites will be accorded at the graveside. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, is in charge.
