MARION D. VENTERS

Marion Dorothy Venters, of the 600 block of W. 37th St., died May 21, 1996, at her residence.

She was a native of New Bern, N.C., and retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield, N.Y. She was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Emma Venters of Norfolk; two sisters, Emma L. Winslow and Annie Daniels, both of Norfolk; a brother, Richard Venters Jr. of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Peter Wherry at Queen Street Baptist Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Tuesday and will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The family will assemble at 640 W. 37th St. at noon for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is in charge.
