Thelma Hall Atkins, 91, formerly of Richmond, died May 25, 1996, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Mrs. Atkins was a longtime resident of Virginia Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Patrick Atkins, who was retired from Colonial Chevrolet Corp. after 35 years of service.
Surviving Mrs. Atkins are her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy L. and Peter B. Marx; four granddaughters, Martha L. Head, Melinda S. Bush, Marlene A. Charbonneau and Merri Jo Sahr; and nine great-grandchildren, all of Virginia Beach.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, and Woody's Laburnum Avenue Chapel in Richmond. The family will be at Woody's Laburnum Avenue Chapel from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery.
