MARY D. HENDERSON

Mary D. Henderson, 66, of the 700 block of Bob White Lane, died May 25, 1996, in her residence.

Mrs. Henderson was born in Hertford, N.C., and was the widow of William Elmer Henderson Jr. She was a member of Laurel Avenue Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, William Linwood Henderson of Garland, Texas, and Allen L. Henderson of Virginia Beach; her mother-in-law, Gracie Henderson of Chesapeake; foster sister, Sydney Beach of Virginia Beach; aunts, Winona Asbell of Richmond, Mary Foster of Woodbridge, Va., Wilchester Hershberger of Virginia Beach; two uncles, Seaton M. Woodley of Boston, Mass., and Allen Doughty of Franklin, Va.; two grandchildren, Benjamin Talbert and Katy Rose Henderson, both of Texas; two foster grandchildren, Brian and Billy Brewster of Virginia Beach; and a close friend, Gloria Newton of Suffolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by Pastor Rupert R. Wallace and Bishop Maurice Johnson Jr. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m.
