Hamilton Roland ``Ham'' Morrison Jr., 84, of the 700 block of Providence Road, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 25, 1996.
Mr. Morrison was born in Norfolk County and was the retired owner of Portlock Electric Company. He retired in 1992 after 64 years of service. He was a member of Parkway Temple and was a former member and deacon of Rosemont Christian Church. He was a member of the Gideons for 35 years and was chairman of the Chesapeake Minimum Housing Board for 27 years.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Forbes Morrison; two daughters, Judy Morrison Jones of Chesapeake and Joan Morrison Citron of LaGrange, Ky.; a sister, Blanch Morrison Taylor and a brother, William C. Morrison, both of Chesapeake; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Parkway Temple, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Ernest T. Trueblood. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will be at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to Parkway Temple Building Fund, Chesapeake, or to the Alzheimer's Association, Norfolk.
