Finally, Virginia Beach has a place for large, outdoor concerts - the amphitheater. As a taxpayer, I fully support projects that not only generate income but also enhance our community.
I eagerly awaited a list of performers and am somewhat puzzled: Where are the performers who represent our community - women headliners, R&B, soul, Hispanic performers?
Old-time rock 'n' roll is fine, but let's hear it from women, African Americans and other groups.
Let's get with the mainstream and not be limited to such a narrow population.
