William G. McLauchlin, 66, of the 300 block of McCosh Drive, died May 26, 1996.
Mr. McLauchlin, a native of Wilson, N.C., retired from the Navy Public Works Center as a crane operator after 36 years of service. He was a member of Chesapeake Avenue United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Judy R. McLauchlin; two daughters, Brenda Simmons of Chesapeake, Cheryl Hudgins of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a son, James McLauchlin of Portsmouth; a sister, Lillian Whitley of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. John Andrews in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The family will be at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Chesapeake Avenue United Methodist Church.
