GEORGE J. PAPPAS

George J. Pappas of the 6300 block of Ventura Court, died May 25, 1996, in a local hospital.

Mr. Pappas was born in Norfolk and was the widower of Elizabeth A. Pappas. He was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church, Ocean View Masonic Lodge (NU)335, Scottish Rite Bodies and the Khedive Temple, where he played in the Drum and Bugle Corp.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia P. Skinner, and her husband Vernon of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Debra Skinner and Valerie Wilson, both of Virginia Beach; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Bruce Carper. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Masonic rites. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and all other times at 6301 Ventura Court.
