VIRGINIA E. PARKS

Evangelist Virginia Elizabeth Parks, of the 2900 block of E. Princess Anne Road, died May 25, 1996, at Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mrs. Parks, the widow of Bishop James Parks, was a domestic. She was a native of Princess Anne County and president of Norfolk Deliverance Prayer Room. She was a member of the League of Mercy, and Home League of the Salvation Army. She was a former member of the United House of Prayer and a choir member. She was president of the Children's Bible Class.

Survivors include two daughters, Evangelist Henrietta Vaughan of Norfolk, Virginia E. Douglas of Rialto, Calif.; five stepdaughters; six sons, Elder Alton T. Vaughan of Norfolk, Bishop Willie Vaughan of Edenton, N.C., Franklin Vaughan of Baltimore, Md., Clarence Vaughan of Norfolk, Elder Ernest Vaughan of Newport News, Alpena Parks of Portsmouth; two stepsons, Michael Vaughan of Dover, Del., Elder Joel Parks of Norfolk; two brothers, Minister Neal Foreman of Norfolk, Mr. Jasper Foreman of Virginia Beach; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a god daughter, Cheryl Elliott of Virginia Beach; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday by Bishop Anthony Moses at Mount Gilead Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3701 Colley Ave. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing Friday at 3 p.m. The remains will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. The family will assemble at 707 W. 36th St. at noon for the procession. Carlos A.
