Wesley Alfonzo Corprew, 57, of the 900 block of E. Princess Anne Road, died May 27, 1996, in DePaul Medical Center.
Mr. Corprew, a delivery driver, retired from Galanides Food Service. He was a native of Princess Anne County and the son of the late Glen and Andelia Mackey Corprew. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Corprew; four daughters, Cathy Corprew Childress, Monica D. Corprew, Michelle Corprew, and Bridgette Moore, all of Norfolk; seven sons, Percy Brown, Wesley Corprew Jr., Bernard Corprew, Anthony Corprew, Roderick A. Allan, all of Norfolk, and Lesley Taylor and Wesley Taylor, both of Portsmouth; his stepmother, Magie Corprew; six sisters, Jean Hopkins, Barbara Corprew, Rose Hamin, Magie Nace, Martha Corprew, Loraine Corprew; two brothers, Spencer Corprew of Portsmouth, and John Corprew of Virginia Beach; 16 grandchildren; an uncle, Rudolph Mackie; and four aunts, Margaret Mackie, Ethal Harris, Gladie Blunt and Carrie Corprew. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Corprew.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday by the Rev. Spencer Corprew at Riddick Funeral Service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A viewing will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will be at 912 Tunstall Ave. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
