Clyde W. Griffin, 76, died on May 28, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mr. Griffin, a native of Norfolk, was a city firefighter.
He is survived by his wife, Elise E. Griffin of Norfolk; a daughter, Frances Louise Griffin of Raleigh, N.C.; two sons, Clyde R. Griffin of Graham, N.C. and David M. Griffin of Norfolk; a sister, Dorothy Arsenault of Chesapeake; two brothers, Harry H. Griffin and Louis Griffin, both of Virginia Beach; a grandchild, two step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two step great-grand-children.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Rosewood Memorial Park. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
