JEAN J. MCCLELLAN

Jean Jordan McClellan, 66, of the 900 block of Roosevelt Blvd., died May 26, 1996, in Maryview Hospital.

Mrs. McClellan, a native of Nansemond County, Va., retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center as a payroll clerk after 24 years of service. She was a member of Union Baptist Missionary Church, Suffolk, where she was church clerk for 36 years. She was also a member of the gospel choir and administrative assistant to the pastor. Mrs. McClellan was a member and past matron of Royal Star Chapter (NU)200, Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Frederick McClellan; a daughter, Tonya McClellan James of Portsmouth; a son, Wayne F. McClellan of Portsmouth; a sister, Barbara J. Turner of Chesapeake; three brothers, Alfred W. Jordan, Dr. George L. Jordan Jr., and Benard D. Jordan, all of Chesapeake; a much loved granddaughter, Jordan Nicole McClellan of Portsmouth; six sisters-in-law, Marguerite W. Jordan of Chesapeake, Barbara Simmons and her husband, John, Zula Williams, Beatrice Rouse, Patricia McClellan, all of Buffalo, N.Y., Eleanor Woodward of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers-in-law, Carlton H. McClellan of Portsmouth, Franklin McClellan and his wife, Carolyn of Buffalo; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday by Pastor C.V. Russell Sr. at Union Baptist Missionary Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. The family will be at 2804 Harbor Court, Chesapeake, the home of her brother, Bernard D. Jordan and sister, Barbara J. Turner and will assemble there for the funeral.
