Clara E. Ballard Gregory, 72, of the 3800 block of Sugar Creek Circle, died on May 26, 1996, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
Mrs. Gregory, a native of Portsmouth, was a member of First Baptist Church, South Portsmouth.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Gregory of Portsmouth; a foster-daughter, Tashia Tina Mitchell of Portsmouth; three sons, Milton Ballard, Albert Gregory Jr. and Steven Roundtree, all of Portsmouth; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at First Baptist Church, by the Rev. Warren E. Amlet. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Chesapeake. Viewing begins at 10 a.m. Friday at Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at noon on Saturday. The family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 2 p.m. on Saturday for the funeral.
