Police detectives are asking for the public's help to find a man suspected of raping a 15-year-old girl who was attacked on her way home from school May 13.
The suspect is white, about 19, with blond hair and hazel eyes. The suspect also has a mole at the end of his right eyebrow and a small scar over the left corner of his upper lip.
Police spokesman Mike Carey said the girl was on her way home from school when she was approached by two men who offered her a ride home. She accepted, but the men drove her to an Oceanfront motel instead. One of the men left while the other raped her in the car, Carey said.
After the assault, the suspect drove the victim to the area of Pacific Avenue and 22nd Street, where the girl escaped.
Police ask anyone with information on the suspect to call 427-0000. ILLUSTRATION: Sketch of rape suspect by CNB
