JAMES J. HOPPIN

James Michael John Hoppin, 42, of the 1000 block of Chinquapin Lane, died Wednesday, May 29, 1996, at a local hospital.

A long-time employee of the Sea Vacationer Motel at Virginia Beach, he was a native of the Bronx, N.Y., and a graduate of St. Nicholas of Tolentine High School.

He was the son of Rose Hoppin and the late Roy Hoppin of the Bronx. He is survived by his loving soul mate, Inez Miller of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Thomas G. Hoppin of Redwood City, Calif., and Robert F. Hoppin of Concord, Calif.; a sister, Ann Marie Hoppin of the Bronx; two nephews; a niece; and a host of friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. today at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, by the Rev. Clarence Owens. Burial will be in St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
