Corrie Gilbert Warren, 85, of Route 2, died May 30, 1996, in his home.
Mr. Warren was born in Hertford County, N.C. He was a member of Meherrin Baptist Church, Murfreesboro. He retired from Howell Metal Works as a metal fabricator after 37 years of service.
Survivors inlude his wife, Ola Futrell Warren of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Cloyce W. Parker of Murfreesboro and Hilda W. Rountree of Newsoms, Va.; two sons, Gilbert Winston Warren of Murfreesboro and Calvin Lee Warren of Wilson, N.C.; two sisters, Nellie Gray of Murfreesboro and Margaret Parker of Chesapeake; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Meherrin Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, by the Rev. Billy Sellers. Burial is in the Futrell Family Cemetery, Murfreesboro. Garrett Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, is handling the arrangements. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Roanoke Chowan Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910, or to the Murfreesboro Rescue Squad.
