``Dangerous Minds,'' a wrestling tag team that features an Outer Banks athlete, Curtis Lamar White, will participate in a Lions Club fund-raiser at Manteo High School June 8.
Profits will go to support the Lions' Visually Impaired Person's Fishing Tournament in October, when 400 visually impaired people from across the state will participate in three days of fishing, education and recreation.
White, who wrestles under the name Curt ``Wild Child'' Cutter, is the son of Rhett and Gwen White of Kill Devil Hills. The ``Wild Child'' played basketball and rugby before taking up wrestling. He is teamed now with Raizin' Cain.
Gorgeous George III, The Barbarian and The Shiek will be among 14 professional wrestlers who will battle at the Saturday night fund-raiser at Manteo High School.
Also appearing at the event will be The Viper, The Anderson Brothers, K.C. Thunder, Neeko, David Donally, Poison Ivey, Rising Son Nuclear Nightmare, and Frank and Roger Anderson.
Wrestling legends Ivan Koloff and Rich Hooten, Mr. North Carolina, will sign autographs before the matches.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Bell time is 8 p.m.
Ringside tickets are $9. General admission tickets are $7 in advance for adults and $8 at the door. Tickets for children ages 5 to 11 are $5 in advance and $6 at the door.
