The names of Chesapeake firefighters John R. Hudgins Jr. and Frank
E. Young were unveiled Thursday after their addition to a black
granite memorial for those who have given their life in service to
others. Hudgins' parents, John Robert Hudgins Sr. and Barbara Rawls,
were among about 150 firefighters, city officials and others at the
Chesapeake Fire Department for the ceremony. Hudgins and Young, who
died March 18 in an Advance Auto Parts store fire, also received the
department's highest tribute - the medal of honor. by CNB
