Marjorie Wainwright Tallman Bryan, 85, widow of Isaiah G. Bryan, died May 30, 1996, in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Bryan, a native of Columbus, N.J., lived in the Tidewater area for 11 years. She was a devout Christian, a loving daughter, wife, and mother, who actively participated in church, fraternal, and volunteer organizations.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth A. Godrick of Wellesley, Mass.; a son, George W. Bryan of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Brunelle Phillips at The Ballentine. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Ballentine, 7211 Granby St., Norfolk, or to a charity of your choice. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
