I stand behind state prison director Ron Angelone's toughness on our ever-increasing prison population.
To criminals, I say: If you committed a crime and are convicted, there is no need to cry for mommy, because mommy wasn't there when you committed the crime! I, for one, will not hold your hand or feel sorry for you. I must save that for your victims.
I was born and raised in New York, so I know how cold-hearted criminals can be. I am grateful to Mr. Angelone for giving criminals a taste of their own medicine.
