Robert ``Bob'' Edward Waters Sr., 35, of the 1000 block of Wilson Street, died May 31, 1996, in Halifax Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Waters, a native of McKeesport, Pa., was a graduate of North Carolina Wesleyan College. He was a director of materials management for Halifax Memorial Hospital. He was chairman of the Board of Deacons for Good News Baptist Church. He was treasurer of the North Carolina Association of Materials Managers and a member of the board of directors for the American Society of Health Care Materials Management of the American Hospital Association.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Carroll Waters; a daughter, Miss Lynn Marie Waters of the home; one son, Robert Edward Waters Jr. of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Waters of Virginia Beach; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Meyers E. Johnson of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mrs. Joanna W. McLoud of Pearl City, Hawaii; two brothers, Sanford R. Waters and William L. Waters, both of Tampa, Fla.
A funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Good News Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Cedarwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Wrenn Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Good News Baptist Church, P.O. Box 387, Roanoke Rapids, N.C. 27870.
