Ellis G. Thomas Sr.
NORFOLK - Ellis G. ``Tommy'' Thomas Sr., 75, of the 9500 block of Densmore Place, died May 29, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Thomas was born in Port Gibson, Miss., and was retired from civil service after 50 years. He was a U.S. naval veteran of World War II. He was an avid walker, friend to dogs, birds and bees.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Thomas; a son, Ellis G. Thomas Jr. of Norfolk; and seven grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted June 1, 1996, in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Terry Beck. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
