Mamie Starkey Knox, 77, of the 1200 block of Captain Adams Court, died May 31, 1996, in her residence.
She was a retired real estate agent and a native of Wheeler, Texas. She was the widow of Orpheus A. Knox.
Mrs. Knox is survived by two sons, Terry D. Knox of Doylestown, Pa., and O.A. Knox Jr. of Virginia Beach; sister, Ella Saxman of Tempe, Ariz.; brother, J.W. Starkey of Roanoke, Va.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Fred Braswell in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, today from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
