CAREER TRACK

ACCOUNTING

William C. DeLoatche was named an accountant with Failes & Associates in Chesapeake. He was the proprietor of Medical Business Counseling in Virginia Beach for 20 years.

ARTS

The d'Art Center elected Robert McFarland of McGuire, Woods, Battle & Boothe as president. David Ricks of Westminster Canterbury was named president-elect and Ashlin Wilbanks, vice president. Wilbanks is a community volunteer with the Virginia Symphony, the Chrysler Museum and Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters.

BANKING

NationsBank promoted Raymond S. Shively to vice president and manager of systems development for Card Services in Norfolk. He was a bank card officer in the card services department in Norfolk.

Also, the bank promoted Scott E. Parsons to vice president and manager of Commercial Card Services in Norfolk. He was assistant vice president and account manager for the Commercial Card Services group.

HEALTH CARE

Morris Long was promoted from senior sales representative to President's Circle sales representative at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals in Virginia Beach.

Dr. David W. Reid was named medical director of the child and adolescent psychiatric unit in the Behavioral Health Department of Norfolk Community Hospital. Reid is in private practice at Clinical Associates of Tidewater in Virginia Beach.

HOSPITALITY

Kim Petrone was named customer service sales coordinator at First Colony Coffee & Tea Co. Inc. in Norfolk.

LAW

Marc C. Porter has joined the firm of Oast Hook Crowe & Resolute in Portsmouth. He is a 1996 graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center where he received his master's degree of law in taxation.

Steven R. Adcox was named an associate at Willcox & Savage in Norfolk. He will practice in the firm's commercial real estate section. He was with Hunton & Williams in Norfolk and Richmond.

Also, Amy Butler Kallenbach was named director of client services and practice development at Willcox & Savage. She was the director of the Norfolk office of the Wallace Law Registry.

ORGANIZATIONS

Irvine B. Hill, Cox Cable executive and former Norfolk mayor, was reappointed Virginia's citizen member of the Chesapeake Bay Commission, a tri-state legislative advisory group created to address Bay-related issues.

Patrick S. Callahan was named president of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is director of Frederick B. Hill & Co. in Norfolk.

Aubrey F. Mitchell was named chief financial officer for the Making A Difference Foundation, a non-profit tutoring group in Virginia Beach.

RETAIL

Rick Hoskins was promoted to vice president of store planning and development at Farm Fresh. He will handle the Norfolk supermarket chain's planning and development of short- and long-term plans for remodels, replacements and new formats. He was formerly merchandising director.

Don Daughtry was named vice president of bakery merchandising. He will be responsible for pricing, research and selection of new products. He had a similar position with Abel & Schafer Inc. of New York.

Dan Alder was promoted to director of pharmacy. He joined Farm Fresh as a staff pharmacist in 1987 and most recently served as pharmacy merchandiser for the firm's home office.

Kay Gerehart was named director of real estate for the supermarket chain. She joined the company as real estate manager in 1988.

Renee Kifus is now director of organizational development and Earl Toler was promoted from manager to director of productivity. He will be responsible for development and implementation of productivity standards.

Also, Michael Vadnais joins the grocery chain as manager of loss prevention and safety.

SHIPBUILDING

Dean C. Berry was named assistant general counsel at Newport News Shipbuilding. He will be responsible for industrial relations matters, including labor and employment issues, workers' compensation and benefits. Prior to this, he was with the law firm of Morgan, Lewis and Bockius in Washington, D.C. MEMO: Career Track reports upper-level executive and management changes.
