Mervin Thomas Hinmon, chicken catching business, filed Chapter 13 debt repayment plan on May 14. Assets and liabilities were not available.
Louisiana Sports Unlimited Inc., doing business as Bluefield Sports Unlimited and Score, filed Chapter 11 reorganization on May 16 with assets of $557,687.12 and liabilities of $1,016,619.75.
April Marie Williams, sales of Mary Kay Cosmetics, filed Chapter 7 liquidation on May 23 with assets of $3,115 and liabilities of $14,439.37.
CONTRACTS
Curtex Construction Corp. in Norfolk received a $2.3 million contract for a vehicle maintenance complex at Camp Pendleton in Virginia Beach
Davcon Inc. in Virginia Beach received a $805,400 contract for an Adair gymnasium and HVAC modifications at the College of William and Mary.
HONORS, AWARDS
The Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants recognized Donald M. Dale by awarding him its outstanding member for 1996. Dale, a managing partner with Goodman & Co. in Norfolk, has been a member of VSCPA since 1966 and has served as its president.
