Rossie Pettis Madison, 97, of the 3100 block of Shore Drive, died June 1, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Madison was a native of Rockingham, N.C., and a longtime resident of Norfolk. She retired from the Monticello Hotel in Norfolk as its executive housekeeper and was employed there from 1945 until the fire destroyed the hotel. She was the widow of William Madison.
She has no survivors.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Allen Johnson. Memorial contributions may be made to the fellowship fund of the Ballentine Home, 7211 Granby St., Norfolk, Va. 23505. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
