WILLIAM T. PARKER

William Thomas Parker, 78, died May 30, 1996, in his home.

Mr. Parker was born in Crewe, Va., and was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retiree from Norfolk and Western Railroad, and the city of Norfolk.

Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Irene W. Parker; daughters, Thelma M. Fitzgerald of Blackstone, Va., and Vanessa P. Ridley of Chesapeake; sons, William Irby Wilson of Upper Marlboro, Md., Thomas L. Parker of Virginia Beach, and Lorenzo A. Parker of Chesapeake; three sisters; three brothers; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew's Temple C.O.G.I.C., 35th Street, Norfolk, by Bishop Lauretta Jones. Metropolitan Funeral Service is in charge. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Granby Street, Norfolk. Family and friends will assemble at 414 Clifton St., Norfolk, Wednesday at 10 a.m. for the funeral procession to the church.
